While manufacturers across the globe have been working toward more sustainable operations, most seem to have their own strategies for tackling energy and carbon management challenges. It was for this reason the Aberdeen Group decided to take an in-depth look at which of these strategies were working for industry leaders and use their findings to develop a roadmap outlining what manufacturers need to do in order create a sustainability program that will improve their bottom-line.
After surveying more than 200 manufacturing executives about their sustainability practices, Aberdeen identified several best practices in their white paper, “Energy and Carbon Management: A Road Map for Sustainable Production.” (Please contact us for access to the report). Those best practices include:
- Establishing executive leadership
- Collaborating across the value chain
- Investing in an energy and carbon management system
- Establishing metrics and benchmarks to measure the success of the program
To take a closer look at how leading manufacturers are enjoying a 7 percent reduction in energy consumption as well as an 8 percent reduction in emissions year-over-year check out our white paper with Aberdeen here!
