Meeting Digital Demands – Transitioning to Electronic Environmental Reporting

NCRA demonstrates successes with Enviance Addressing Air Emissions & GHG

The National Cooperative Refinery Association (NCRA) is an inter-regional cooperative, which handles the acquisition, transportation, refining and product distribution of crude oil. They produce nearly 85,000 barrels-per-day in their refinery, and to ensure they maintain environmental compliance, they rely on Enviance.

Initially, NCRA used Enviance solely for Air Emissions Inventory reporting. However, when managing its GHG program electronically became a priority, it made sense to build upon the existing Air Emissions Inventory program, and tie the GHG program into the Enviance System.

The execution was easy enough, as Enviance’s cloud-based model allows organizations the flexibility to implement a number of environmental programs with little-to-no IT support. As a result, NCRA was able to utilize Enviance to handle data management, task management and reporting of its Air, Groundwater, GHG, Water, Waste and Underground Storage programs.

The benefits to NCRA were immediate. By maintaining compliance deadlines and reporting requirements through Enviance, NCRA possessed a consolidated and centralized look at its environmental impact and was able to identify ways to reduce its environmental liability. Furthermore, the Enviance system’s centralized data and task management features make personnel changes easy, ensuring that the flow of environmental data capture and reporting is never interrupted by internal employee transitions.
