'Intense Public Interest' Prompts EPA To Reconsider Parts of Interstate Air Rule

EPA will reconsider aspects of the way the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) allocates emissions allowances.

The Environmental Protection Agency agrees to reconsider portions of a rule to reduce power plant emissions in 28 states because of "intense public interest."  Administrator Stephen Johnson says the agency will reconsider aspects of the way the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) allocates emissions allowances, as well as the inclusion of Florida and Minnesota under the rule.
