| | | February 21, 2006 | | Joining Bayer and BASF, Dow is the latest company to recognize environmental impact of producing and storing chemicals | Well, it seems that Dow is feeling a bit of peer pressure from its chemical colleagues these days. In Midland, Michigan last week, Dow just joined Bayer and BASF by signing the Responsible Care Global Charter. The Global charter goes beyond the original elements of Responsible Care to consider evolving challenges for the chemical industry. Dow also endorsed the Global Product Strategy, an effort by the global chemical industry to further improve its product stewardship efforts. By signing Dow Chemical is taking the initiative to minimize their environmental impact when producing and storing chemicals.
