| | | March 24, 2006 | | Creating social awareness for global warming threat | Chances are if you are reading this blog, your awareness towards global warming is rather astute. However, for the average American out there, there’s some catching up to do. That’s the goal of a new TV campaign by the Advertising Council and Environmental Defense: to give a wake-up call about the urgency of the problem. The ad reveals a child about to be run over by a train symbolizing how future generations must face the consequences of our current environmental abuse. Described as “compelling” by the sponsors, the ads were designed pro bono by New York ad firm Ogilvy and Mather. One can only hope these types of campaigns will further promote environmental awareness throughout the U.S. by Erin Swanson Eswanson@enviance.com | | |
