Virgin Airlines Chairman Richard Branson Pledges $3 billion to Combat Global Warming

Branson, the billionaire behind Virgin Airways announced global warming pledge at the Clinton Global Initiative

Branson and Virgin AirlinesToday in New York, British business mogul Richard Branson pledged to commit all profits from his transportation businesses over 10 years to combat global warming — profits that he estimated would reach $3 billion.  The investment would include cleaner energy like ethanol and butanol.  Branson credits Al Gore and Ted Turner for his green philosophy.
