HP Redesigns Packaging to Cut Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Redesigning HP print cartridge packaging reduces greenhouse gas emissions

HP estimates it will reduce 2007 greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to taking 3,600 cars off the road for a year by redesigning its North American print cartridge packaging.

HP will produce smaller, lighter packages that reduce the carbon footprint not only to make the package, but also the transportation required to ship them. HP´s new toner cartridge packaging uses 45% less material and can be shipped 30% more efficiently, according to the company.
