Earth Day and Global Warming

2007 Earth Day emphasizes global warming as 83% of Americans believe its a serious problem

I don’t know how you are going to spend this year’s Earth Day, but it seems there is a new emphasis on global warming and its predicted effects on Mother Earth this April 22, 2007.

Around the country and around the world, a batch of recent opinion surveys show swelling public interest in and concern about climate change.

There is "a significant shift in public attitudes toward the environment and global warming [with] fully 83 percent of Americans now saying global warming is a 'serious' problem, up from 70 percent in 2004," reports the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy.

Why not spread the word about global warming by sending an Earth Day eCard?  You have a choice of 3 – a mountain, flower, or bear theme.  And, after sending an eCard, you’ll get to see jeopardy answers to some Earth Day trivia.

Have a great weekend everyone, and a very GREEN Earth Day.
