| | THE ENVIANCE BLOG Excerpt from: Environmental Compliance
| | | May 10, 2007 | | Natural gas pipeline company tracks environmental compliance using software as a service technology | Scott Bassett, Senior Environmental Coordinator for Questar Gas Company, wrote an article in Pipeline and Gas Journal last month on how his company uses Enviance's software as a service technology to track environmental compliance. Three years ago, Questar needed a better way to manage its 8 Title V air permits and 20 minor source permits along with all the corresponding requirements such as stack testing, numerous semi-annual reports and compliance certifications. After evaluating the usual information management system suspects, Enviance emerged as the winner with their software as a service (SaaS) offering. Fast forward 3 years, and Questar’s list of accomplishments are quite impressive. By using Enviance, Questar is able to: - Track compliance tasks to completion by user, facility, or other parameters,
- Produce myriad reports utilizing built-in ad hoc reporting tools,
- Easily modify facilities, equipment, or tasks within the system as requirements change,
- Effectively manage hundreds of compliance-related tasks and requirements,
- Spend less time managing information, data, and documents and more time on working to improve environmental performance.
Thank you, Scott, for writing this article, and more importantly, for using Enviance! by Erin Swanson Eswanson@enviance.com | | |
