This month, ENR published their 2007 Top 200 Environmental Firms ranking report. It details the way the Top 200 Environmental Firms are profiting from the new attention placed on sustainability and resource cleanup, protection and reuse. Total revenue for the top 200 in 2006 rose 12.5% to $42.2 billion, another positive result to add to the previous year’s 13.6% hike and a four-year trend of upward market growth overall and in most key environmental market segments.
The 22-page report includes tables showing the most robust markets and the top firms in all environmental fields, design/consulting studies, construction remediation, hazardous waste, nuclear waste, water treatment/supply, waste/storm water treatment, air-pollution control, environmental management and environmental sciences. Finally, the ranking of the Top 200 Environmental Firms includes a market-segment breakdown of their revenue and their headquarters location. I’ve listed the top 20 from the list, but email me directly if you’d like a PDF copy of the report. 20 of the Top 200 Environmental Firms 1. CH2MHill 2. Veolia Environment – North America 3.
