Horne International and Enviance Implement EMIS for U.S. Army

Horne and Enviance form a partnership to build on the EMIS already demonstrating tracking and management effectiveness at Anniston Army Depot and Fort Detrick

On Monday, Horne International announced its partnership with Enviance, to strengthen the U.S. Army's environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) program with an environmental management information system (EMIS).  The Enviance System will be used to track important regulatory commitments, manage associated tasks, prepare reports, and maintain a current record of environmental commitments.

Horne International and Enviance recently worked together at Anniston Army Depot, Alabama, and Fort Detrick, Maryland, and demonstrated the value of an EMIS for these installations.

Horne International Chairman, President, and CEO Darryl K. Horne said that the purpose of the new agreement is to “offer a one-of-a-kind environmental support service that brings the benefits of the Enviance System to military installations nationwide. The Army spends billions of dollars on environmental compliance. The Enviance System is an industry best practice that will enable the Army to reduce those costs while enhancing environmental performance.”
