Water / NPDES Compliance Management Event a Success

Southern Company's water quality presentation was well-received

I'm still on an adrenaline rush after today's NPDES compliance web seminar.  What a crowd!!  Over 120 people attended the Enviance hosted event that featured Aaron Mitchell from Georgia Power / Southern Company.

Aaron outlined how his team was able to improve reporting accuracy and reduce workload by deploying an enterprise-wide NPDES compliance solution and creating
a consistent DMR process.

And we were bombarded with really thought-provoking questions during the Q&A session.  Here's a sampling:

*  "How is continuous monitoring, e.g. pH tracked in Enviance?"

*  "
How does Enviance get its data in order to give the early warnings you are talking about?  Is the data manually input, or does Enviance talk to plant information systems?"

*  "Did you have any confidentiality issues when transferring data from the Lab's system to Enviance? Our lab raised that issue."

And my personal favorite:
*  "If a tree falls in a forest, should it have gotten a permit first?  Seriously, I enjoyed the presentation and admire your work."
