| November 22, 2006 | | Giving thanks to the environment this Thanksgiving holiday | Well, it’s almost Turkey o’clock here on the West coast, but before I head out of the office today, I wanted to wish you and your loved ones a very happy Thanksgiving holiday.
Overall, 2006 has been a great year for the environment, especially after the results of the mid-term elections. I look forward to working for an even cleaner world where industry and nature can equally benefit.
Before the long weekend, I wanted to leave you with a few of my favorite quotes about the environment:
“In wilderness I sense the miracle of life, and behind it our scientific accomplishments fade to trivia.” -- Charles Lindberg “They kill good trees to put out bad newspapers.” -- James Watt “Richard Nixon is the kind of politician who would cut down a redwood tree and then mount the stump and make a speech on conservation.” -- Adlai Stevenson “Great art picks up where nature ends.” -- Marc Chagall
