Al Gore’s global warming movie is compared to Nazi propaganda on Fox News

<img vspace="10" hspace="10" border="2" align="right" src="http://www.enviance.com/blogimages/sterling_burnett.jpg" alt="Fox News Sterling Burnett" />Today is May 24 – and you know what that means!  The much-anticipated global warming movie from Al Gore, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.participantproductions.com/films/Coming+Soon/191/AnInconvenientTruth" title="Inconvenient Truth overview">An Inconvenient Truth</a>, airs in select theatres in NYC and LA today.  During the past month, there’s been much celebrating and smearing on both sides of the environmental spectrum.  So let’s talk about the smearing, as that subject is always more interesting:Not to be outdone by the <a target="_blank" href="http://streams.cei.org/" title="CEI ads on climate change smear">CEI ads</a>, Fox News ran some interesting “fair and balanced” coverage on Al Gore’s global warming movie.  Sterling Burnett, a senior fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis, an organization backed by Exxon, compared Al Gore’s film with <a target="_blank" href="http://www.treehugger.com/files/2006/05/fox_news_attack.php" title="Treehugger synoposis on Fox News Global Warming and Nazi propaganda">Nazi propaganda</a>.  If you want to see the video, visit <a href="http://thinkprogress.org/2006/05/23/gore-movie-g/">Think Progress'</a> site (you'll need to install <a target="_blank" href="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html" title="Apple Quicktime download page to view video footage">QuickTime</a> in order to see the footage).  Here’s the quote:<blockquote style="margin-right: 0px;" dir="ltr">“That’s the problem. If I thought Al Gore’s movie was as you like to say, fair and balanced, I’d say, everyone should go see it. But why go see propaganda? You don’t go see Joseph Goebbels’ films to see the truth about Nazi Germany.
