External report claims the environment will benefit from TXU buy out

According to a report issued by <a href="http://www.gfenergy.com/">GF Energy LLC</a> of Washington, DC, the <a title="Environmental likely to gain from deal" href="http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/stories/DN-txu_enviro_26bus.ART.State.Edition1.43dd58e.html" target="_blank">environment would benefit if the TXU buy out agreement goes through</a>.  GF Energy is an external consulting firm hired by The Dallas Morning News to analyze the TXU buy out deal.  TXU's would-be buyers, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and TPG, have said they would cancel 8 of TXU's 11 proposed coal-burning plants, consider cleaner technologies, address global warming, buy more wind power and double spending on energy conservation if the sale goes through.
